Note book envelope or envelope wallet look.
1. Cut out fabric of 2 pieces at 40 cm by 20 cm. One for outer and inner which could be considered like a lining. It doesn't necessarily have to be the same exact fabric for outer and inner.
2. Place right sides together and stitch a seam allowance of 1/2 inch to the top with leaving a bit open in the center of the seam.
3. Open seams and press. Bring together or wrong sides leaving rights side of fabric on the outer.
4. Make a fold on both sides back and front about 10 cm down from the top of sewed seam. Fold up.
5. Now draw a line about 3 cm from that fold.
6. Then fold up again about 6 cm.
7. Now draw another line about 3 cm from that fold.
8. Open up. Bring the middle fold and meet 3 cm from the bottom. Bring the other fold and meet on that one. Looks like a hand fan look.
9. You will noticed that there is a 3 cm left at the bottom, bring that and place in the middle or between as noted in "No 8" above. Take a pin to hold in place through all.
10. Fold in half. On the top draw around at the top in a circular way to form circular roundness to the top. Open up from the half.
11. Stitch a 1/2 inch seam around the entire sides. Trim and cut around the round corners. Press.
12. Locate the opening and pull inside out to form the shape of bag.
13. Press.
14. Top stitch accordingly.
15. You have two options from this point. You could leave as is with looking like a notebook can be inserted and it flap over or as I did here turn into a wallet look. By flapping twice to make wallet look.
16. Whatever option you use either use velcro or snaps for closure.
