Patchwork and Quilting techniques were used to make this Checker Like Mug Rug. To my surprise the colours blend together nicely. 

Mug Rug can be used in many capacities as a placemat, home decor within the household etc. 

2 1/2 of 3 1/2 inch squares of whatever colours you like to use.  Stitch together in a 1/4 inch seam allowances to form square.  Cut batting and backing out according and do the turning inside out method.  Optional Quilt
